North Shore Regional Town Hall Meeting
On Monday, April 8, 2013 Lee Litas of the Chicago Sun Times, Ericka McCauley of Lake Shore Public Television, and Carl Jasieniecki of Midwest Young Artists lead a discussion about how orchestras can most effectively utilize print media. CONDUCTOR MENTORING
The ICO Conductors Mentoring program is intended to provide conductors with the opportunity to consult with experienced colleagues who will serve as a confidential resource for advice and guidance concerning the craft of conducting, and career-related issues.

ILLINOIS STATE SONG
A full orchestral score and extracted parts for the Illinois State Song are available free of cost to ICO organizational members and public or private schools.

Our Mission

  • To advocate and promote the development and success of Illinois orchestras and to respond to their needs,
  • To promote an exchange of ideas and resources among members,
  • To provide a system of communication to meet mutual needs and concerns,
  • To encourage financial support for orchestras from all possible sources, and
  • To sponsor education conferences, workshops, and other activities for the betterment of member orchestras.
